What's on the Discover tab?

Follow

The Discover tab is the landing page of the Remine app, and it's the place where you'll identify leads, view property details, and track opportunities.

To access the Discover tab, on the bottom bar, tap Discover.

Map vs. List

There are two views on the Discover tab: Map and List. The map is the default view, where you can see blue dots and apply layers. The list is the list of visible properties at your current map view. You must zoom in far enough to see MLS flags or blue dots in order to see the list of properties.

Map zoom levels

There are three distinct zoom levels on the map that will display different information:

  • Blue dots (15+): This is the closest zoom level, where you can see blue dots that represent each property parcel. This is also where you can apply filters and layers, and track your results.
  • MLS flags (12-14): This is the medium zoom level, where you cannot see blue dots, but you can see MLS status flags. You can filter and track listings at this zoom level, but you won't see a colorful overlay if you apply a layer.
  • World (0-11): This is the farthest zoom level, where you cannot see blue dots or MLS status flags. You can apply filters and layers, but you cannot view or track your results.

Blue dots

Generally, each blue dot represents one property. When you tap a blue dot, a box appears that displays some basic information about the property. We call this box a property card. When you tap the property card, the Property Details tab appears with more granular information about the property.

One exception is in the case of multi-unit properties. When you tap the blue dot for a multi-unit property, a list of property cards appears. You can either tap the # Units bar at the top of this list, or swipe up to view the full list of units in the building. Tap any property card in this list to view the Property Details page for the unit.

Stars

Stars represent properties that you are already tracking.

Filters and Layers

Layers displays a colorful overlay on the map for quick reference, while filters remove properties from the map that don't meet your criteria. The following examples highlight the difference between filters and layers:

  • Filters: Say you apply the Property Value filter with a value of $0-$500,000. When you tap Apply Filters, only the blue dots that meet this criterion appear on the map.
  • Layers: Say you apply the $0-250,000 and $250,000-$500,000 layers in the Property Value layer category. When you tap Add Layers, a green choropleth appears over the blue dots on the map, identifying properties that meet your criteria.

Click here for descriptions of each available layer and filter.

Track

After you apply filters and have a set of blue dots that fit your criteria, you can track the properties to save them for future reference. Your tracked properties and people reflect in both Remine Mobile and the Remine desktop application.
